Using jewelry boxes as your canvas, create tiny collage art that tells a story, captures a memory, or simply expresses your creativity. In this hands-on class, you'll learn the techniques of assemblage and collage art, focusing on the creation of miniature scenes and compositions within the confines of a jewelry box. We encourage you to bring personal items and small trinkets that hold special meaning—these could be old jewelry, photographs, tiny figurines, or bits of fabric. These items will be incorporated into your artwork, turning an ordinary box into a personalized treasure chest of memories. Each participant will receive a jewelry box to work with, along with access to a variety of crafting supplies including glue, paint, decorative papers, and small embellishments. This workshop is suitable for all skill levels, from beginners to experienced crafters. Be aware we are using hot glue to glue very small objects, so younger artists may not be ready for this class. Use your own discretion in determining wether your child is ready for this type of project. This class is pay what you want, but we suggest a donation of $10.
