In this class, participants will use a variety of drawing materials to create expressive abstract drawings. We will experiment with different ways of making marks such as scribbling, layering lines, and building textures to discover how drawing can communicate feeling rather than just represent objects. Students will be able to experiment with both familiar drawing tools like crayons and colored pencils as well as some new ones like tempera sticks, pastels, and paint pens.
